National Youth Service Day

On April 21-23, 2006, millions of young people across America will celebrate the 18th Annual National Youth Service Day, a pivotal event that celebrates the contributions youth make to their communities throughout the year. National Youth Service Day aims to get youth on a lifelong path of service and civic engagement and jump-start yearlong youth-led efforts.

The Boy Scouts of America is a national partner in this service initiative, which ties to our Good Turn for America service initiative. Encourage your units to conduct a service project the weekend of April 21-23, 2006, and input that information into goodturnforamerica.org. We will be using the data collected on this site to report our contributions to National Youth Service Day.
